Sales Manager of Hardware products

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and manage sales of hardware products (hand tools, power tools,, plumbing/electrical fittings, building materials) to hardware stores, contractors, construction companies and mines;
2. Achieve monthly/quarterly sales targets and expand market coverage in assigned territory;
3. Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing clients; identify and develop new customers (B2B & distribution channels);
4. Follow up on orders, coordinate with warehouse/logistics to ensure on-time delivery;
5. Collect market intelligence: competitor pricing, product trends, customer feedback and report to management;
6. Conduct product demonstrations and training for retail partners; support marketing/promotional activities;
7. Manage receivables and assist in credit control for assigned accounts;
8. Prepare weekly sales reports and sales forecasts.

Candidate Requirements:

1. Education: Diploma or Bachelor's degree;
2. Experience: Minimum 2 years of sales experience, preferably in hardware, building materials, tools, industrial products; experience selling to the construction or mining sector is a strong advantage;
3. Knowledge: Good understanding of hardware products (tools,, fittings); basic technical aptitude to explain product specifications;
4. Skills: Strong communication and negotiation skills; proven track record of meeting sales targets; ability to work independently and travel extensively;
5. Languages: Fluent English; knowledge of Nyanja or Bemba is an advantage;
6. Other: Valid driver's licence; proficiency in MS Excel/Word.
7. Attitude: Self-motivated, honest, results-driven, with good customer service ethics.
