Sabot Zambia Limited is hereby inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the underlisted vacant positions:

1. Driver Trainer  x  2  (Location - Kitwe)

  Main Responsibilities

• Assessing new Drivers and provision of tests’ recommendations for new hires
• Training and retraining of all staff driving Company vehicles
• Maintaining and updating of training records for all staff driving company vehicles
• Road safety and other statutory driving regulations training to all personnel driving Company vehicles
• Overseeing maintenance of training vehicles and all other training equipment.
• Review accident and review incident reports
• Testing the fleet for fuel consumption and determination of consumption averages on agreed routes
• Production of routine activity reports for management decision making.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma in Transport and Logistics or related qualification
• Driver Trainers Certificate from Belsam, ITC, ENAC or RTSA
• Minimum 5 years of cross border truck driving experience
• Certificate in Automotive Mechanics an added advantage
• Good experience in staff training, driver assessment and talent development

 2. Auto Electrician x 4  (Location- Kitwe)

Main Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic electrical tests from horse to trailer when needed and handle all electrical duties on trucks including small vehicles
• Attending to all electrical breakdowns within and outside the depot timeously
• Overhaul of all electrical components.
• Servicing and repairing of all electrical units such as starter motors, wiper motors, battery maintenance and services.
• Ensure that vehicles are road worthy in terms of fitness
• Perform any other duties assigned by superiors

Qualifications and Experience

• Certificate/Diploma in Automotive Electrical  from a recognized institution
• Full Grade 12 Certificate and  member of EIZ
• At least 3 years’ experience in a busy workshop
• Experience in a trucking Company, an added advantage
