1. IT/GPS Technician (Lusaka & Kitwe – 2 Positions)

Reporting To: Operations Manager

Job Purpose

To install, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot IT systems and GPS tracking equipment to ensure reliable technology support and efficient fleet monitoring operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain GPS tracking devices in vehicles and equipment.
• Monitor GPS systems to ensure proper functioning and accurate reporting.
• Troubleshoot and repair GPS hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
• Provide basic IT support including computer setup, software installation, and network troubleshooting.
• Maintain records of installations, maintenance, and system updates.
• Train users on proper use of GPS tracking systems and basic IT tools.
• Ensure system security, data backup, and compliance with company IT policies.
• Liaise with service providers and vendors for technical support and equipment procurement.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of IT and GPS systems.

Qualifications and Skills (IT/GPS Technician)

• Diploma or Certificate in Information Technology, Electronics, Telecommunications, or related field.
• Experience in GPS tracking systems installation and maintenance will be an added advantage.
• Strong technical troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of computer hardware, software, and basic networking.
• Ability to work independently and respond promptly to technical issues.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Willingness to travel as required.
