Design and drafting:

Use CAD software to create and review engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.

Conduct necessary calculations for designs.

Assist with project planning and design development.

Site work and inspections:

Perform field surveys to collect data and inspect project sites.

Conduct quality control inspections and ensure work conforms to design specifications and codes.

Test materials like soil, concrete, and asphalt.

Project support:

Help prepare cost estimates and material requirements.

Monitor and document project progress and maintain records.

Enforce safety protocols on construction sites and report hazards.

Communication and coordination:

Confer with engineers and other professionals to prepare plans and discuss projects.

Communicate with contractors, utilities, and other departments.

Attend meetings and respond to inquiries.

Research and reporting:

Research current construction methods and materials for cost-efficiency and durability.

Prepare technical reports and project documentation.

Analyze and report on traffic data.

Qualification & Experience Required:

• Diploma – Civil Engineering (Diploma Level Only) MUST
• Full Grade 12 Certificate
• Minimum of 5 years’ work experience
• 40 Years and below (MUST)
• Valid Manual driving license
• Proficiency with CAD and other relevant software.
• Strong mathematical and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication, coordination, and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of surveying, material testing, and construction principles.
• Technical writing skills are often required
