Huachen International Supply Chain Limited is currently seeking to employ a Construction Project Manager in the Construction Department to join our growing team.

JOB PURPOSE
The primary objective of this position is to oversee all company construction and expansion projects.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1.    Project Management: Independently responsible for the management of the entire company's new construction and expansion projects, including construction plan formulation, progress control, quality supervision and cost control, to ensure that the project is delivered according to the contract requirements.
2.    Territorial Team Management: Lead the territorial construction team (including foremen, skilled and general workers) to allocate manpower reasonably to ensure orderly, efficient and safe field operation.
3.    Technical Control: Review the construction drawings and technical schemes, organize on-site technical disclosure, solve the technical problems in the construction process, and ensure that the construction conforms to the specifications.
4.    Material and Cost Control: Cooperate with the purchasing department to complete the inquiry, price comparison and entry acceptance of local building materials. Control material loss and ensure that costs are within the budget.
5.    External Coordination: Interface with local government departments, supervision units, communities and suppliers on behalf of the company. And deal with external affairs involved in the project (such as government inspection, community relations, construction permits, etc.).
6.    Safety and Quality: Implement the company's safety management system, organize on-site safety training and daily inspection, and timely discover and rectify hidden dangers of quality and safety.
7.    Reporting and Documentation: Regularly submit project progress reports, quality and safety records and on-site video data to ensure traceability of the project process.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree or above in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering or related field.
- Must be a fully paid-up member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ) or a relevant professional organization/body.
- Minimum eight (08 +) plus years of site management experience in construction projects, including at least 3 years as a project manager or equivalent management position.
- Must possess experience in industrial projects, commercial complexes or large infrastructure projects.
SKILLS REQUIRED
- Proficient in reading engineering drawings, construction specifications and acceptance standards;
- Familiar with Zambia’s local building materials market, construction techniques, and relevant regulations;
- Have cost control consciousness and basic budgeting ability;
- Proficient in using AutoCAD, Project and Office software;
- Management capacity;
- Have strong team leadership ability, and can effectively manage a team of more than 50 local employees;
- Good communication and coordination skills, able to properly handle government, community and supplier relationships;
- Possesses risk anticipation and on-site problem-solving capabilities;
- Fluent in English. Chinese will be an added advantage.
- Residents of the Copperbelt are preferred.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS AND PREFERENCES
1.    Must be a holder of a valid Zambian driver's license;
2.    Able to adapt to long-term on-site presence and temporary overtime;
3.    Must possess a clean work record and good professional ethics.
