1)Â OPERATIONS
The Accountant will be responsible for the following areas:
a.Cash Management: Ensure that all branches deposit sales for the day and reports are submitted as required before end of day.
b.Sales Summary Audits: The Accountant isexpected to carry out daily sales audits to ensure bookings and actual sales tally. All walk in clients must be booked in.
c.Cash Management Controls: Responsible to introduce and ensure controls are put in place to prevent pilfering and misuse of company property.
2)Â EQUIPMENT
 Maintain an Accurate Fixed Assets register.
3)Â MANAGING INVENTORY
The Accountant is responsible for ensuring the salon's inventory and supplies are well stocked for all the branches.The accountant must audit and ensure whatever is being bought is necessary.
4)Â MANAGING FINANCES
The Accountant is responsible for managing the salon's finances, including tracking revenue and expenses, managing payroll inputs such as leave, overtime and absenteeism etc. The Accountant must ensure maximization of sales and profits and safeguard all company resources.
5)Â STATUTORY OBLIGATIONS
The Accountant must ensure all statutory obligations such as NAPSA,NHIMA,PAYE,SDL,VAT, INCOME TAX etc are submitted correctly and on time. Must ensure All trade licenses and or any other licenses required are valid at all times. Â
6)Â OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
Will include but not limited to:
- Manage all financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Monitor and reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other financial records.
- Prepare Financial and Management reports, and budgets for management review.
- Manage all tax filings and other regulatory compliance requirements. Ensure timely submissions.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory and supplies and reconcile with purchase orders.
- Carry our random inventory audits in the branches.
- Manage all accounts related office operations
- Provide administrative support to management and staff, including data entry, filing, and record-keeping.
- Payroll management including all reports, schedules, and all statutory submissions. Must ensure all salaries are paid by 30th or 31st of every month.
- Prepare and distribute internal communication materials, such as memos and newsletters.
- Provide Investment management and support
- Other responsibilities as requested by the CEO.
