AB Bank Zambia is the market leader in providing financial services to Zambian micro, small and medium enterprises. We are looking for a passionate individual who is ready to take up an exciting challenge in a faced paced environment of a growing bank, willing to meet deadlines and develop professionally. In this position you will report to the Legal Manager and Company Secretary.

Among other responsibilities, you will be expected to:

  • Litigation-cases by the bank and against the bank
  • Assistance with company secretarial tasks
  • Initiates review of prevailing and new legislation offering periodic opinions and reports to Manager-Legal
  • Contract drafting and review, drafting of various documents
  • Research and legal opinions, procedure reviews etc.

Your Minimum Qualifications and Competencies should:

  • Advocate of the High Court for Zambia
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar position at a Financial Institution or law firm.
  • Adherence to Corporate Governance Tenets
  • Good Communication and Presentation Skills, Orally & Verbally
  • Good analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Stress Tolerance, good negotiation skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Confidentiality and Integrity
