Loan Officer

Job Summary

We’re looking for a dynamic Loan Officer to originate, process, and close loans efficiently, while providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of microfinance.

Job Specifications

The jobholder will be responsible for the following:

• Authenticate loan application documentation submitted by clients
• Identify and recruit new clients
• Maintain accurate records and handle client queries professionally
• Provide advice and guidance on loan products suitable for clients’ needs
• Prepare loan contracts and ensure adherence to lending regulations
• Conduct client assessments, analyze financial data, and determine loan eligibility
• Disburse loans and monitor repayment
• Provide financial education and advisory services
• Collaborate with branch staff to ensure seamless operations
• Perform any other responsibilities as requested by the supervisor

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field
• 2-4 years of experience in microfinance, banking, or a related field
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills
• Strong knowledge of microfinance products and lending regulations
• Excellent communication, sales, and customer service skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Work Hours:

• 8 hours
