ELECTRIC MOTOR REWINDER

The suitable candidate will inspect various kinds of electro-mechanical equipment for damage and evidence of electrical malfunctions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect various kinds of electromechanical equipment for damage and evidence of electrical malfunctions.
• Test the condition of windings according to standards specified.
• Illustrate and document all relevant data specific to unit’s electromagnetic characteristics, operating conditions, existing damage, and intended usage.
• Dismantle or strip damaged or unserviceable electromechanical equipment.
• Prepare all reusable parts for rewinding and inspect renewed parts for hidden, structural damage or unusual conditions.
• Rewind various kinds of electromechanical equipment including motors and pumps
• Observe proper insulating techniques and/or requirements during rewinding.
• Test rewound electromechanical equipment according to standards recommended and document test results.
• Carry out run test and installation of motors, pumps and other equipment.
• Complete required paperwork for each job accurately and on a timely basis.
• Operate specialized repair and testing equipment, including but not limited to: winding machines, test panels, and various handheld power and non-power tools.
• Keep work area neat and clean as directed by supervisor.
  Perform other skilled and non-skilled duties as directed by supervisor.

Suitable candidates MUST meet the following minimum requirements:

• Qualification as Craft/Technician- Electrical.
• Minimum 3 years’ proven work experience in field.
• Attention to detail, strong problem-solving & analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills
• Reliable and responsible team player.
