A TLB Operator (Tractor-Loader-Backhoe) job involves safely operating the heavy machinery for digging trenches, loading materials, backfilling, and site preparation, requiring a valid operator's certificate, experience with pre-start checks, basic maintenance, strict adherence to safety protocols (PPE, site rules), and reporting faults to supervisors, focusing on efficiency and team collaboration to meet daily targets. 

Key Responsibilities

• Operation: Safely operate the TLB for digging, excavation, loading trucks, backfilling, and leveling.
• Maintenance: Perform daily pre-start inspections, check fluid levels, grease machinery, and report defects.
• Safety: Adhere to all site safety rules, wear PPE, set up warning signs, and identify hazards.
• Site Work: Clear debris, prepare sites, and conduct general site logistics.
• Reporting: Complete daily logs, inspection sheets, and report any faults or issues.
• Teamwork: Work with site engineers and other team members to meet project deadlines. 

Requirements

• Valid TLB Operator Certificate/License.
• Proven experience as a TLB Operator (e.g., 1-3 years).
• Valid Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent.
• Knowledge of basic machine maintenance and construction site safety.
• Ability to work under pressure, good work ethic, and attention to detail.
• Medically fit and of sober habits (often required).
