Tender Notice: Construction of Student Hostels in Kabwe

SolidarMed Zambia (Registration No. RNGO 101/0075/2013) is a Swiss non-profit organization dedicated to improving healthcare in Africa. Aligned with the Ministry of Health’s vision of equitable access to quality, cost-effective healthcare for all Zambians, SolidarMed focuses on strengthening healthcare services in rural areas.

Our country program in Zambia aims to enhance the availability of human resources for health in rural communities. A critical challenge facing rural health facilities is the severe shortage of healthcare workers, which significantly impacts health outcomes. To address this, SolidarMed implements innovative solutions to improve both the quality and quantity of healthcare professionals in rural areas. Key interventions include expanding access to nursing and midwifery education by providing student accommodation near training institutions, ensuring more healthcare workers are trained and retained in underserved areas.

SolidarMed Zambia hereby invites bids from qualified contractors for the construction of a student hostels facility to support healthcare training institutions.

Interested contractors must meet the eligibility criteria and demonstrate experience in executing similar infrastructure projects.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

1. PACRA registration certificate and compliance

2. Valid National Council for Construction (B or C) Grades 2-4

3. Valid Zambia Revenue Authority (tax clearance and TPIN)

4. Valid National Pension Scheme Authority compliance certificate

5. Valid Workers Compensation Fund Control Board certificate

6. Valid litigation status from a legal firm

7. Site Visit
