We are currently seeking a highly organized and proactive Supply Chain and Logistics Officer to ensure the seamless flow of materials, equipment, and personnel across our operations.

Position Summary: The Supply Chain and Logistics Officer will oversee and manage the company's overall supply chain and logistics strategy and operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the movement of heavy machinery, spare parts, and consumables to various mining sites, managing inventory, and optimizing transportation routes to ensure maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate, and monitor the transportation of raiseboring equipment, spare parts, and materials to and from various mine sites.
• Manage and optimize the end-to-end supply chain process to ensure timely delivery of goods without disrupting mining operations.
• Oversee inventory management, ensuring accurate tracking of stock levels and minimizing stockouts or overstock situations.
• Liaise and negotiate with freight forwarders, transporters, and suppliers to secure cost-effective shipping and transport rates.
• Ensure all logistics operations comply with Zambian transport regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
• Maintain accurate logs, records, and documentation of all fleet movements, shipments, and inventory cycles.
• Address and resolve any logistical issues, delays, or supply chain bottlenecks promptly.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Transport Management, or a related field.
• Must possess a valid Zambian Driver’s License (Mandatory).
• Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in logistics and supply chain management, preferably within the mining, heavy machinery, or construction sectors.
• Membership with the Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply (ZIPS) or the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) is an added advantage.
• Strong understanding of inventory management, fleet scheduling, and route planning.
• Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in logistics/inventory software and Microsoft Office Suite.
