Job Title: Sales Executive ā Stationery & Office Furniture
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced, results-drivenĀ Sales ExecutiveĀ to join our stationery and office furniture business. This role is suited to a proactive professional with strong industry knowledge, the ability to manage key accounts, and a proven track record in driving sales growth across multiple customer channels.
The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving sales targets, developing new business, managing customer relationships, and ensuring strong market execution and brand visibility.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Revenue Growth
- Achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales targets
- Identify and develop new customers, distributors, wholesalers, and retailers
- Actively promote and sell stationery and office furniture products
- Prepare and issue accurate quotations and invoices
- Negotiate pricing, discounts, and trade terms in line with company policy
Customer & Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key accounts and distributors
- Conduct regular customer visits, follow-ups, and market activations
- Provide professional advice based on product knowledge and customer needs
- Resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention
Market Execution & Visibility
- Ensure proper product availability, shelf presence, and merchandising standards
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products and advise customers accordingly
- Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and promotions
- Support product launches, in-store promotions, and marketing initiatives
- Ensure compliance with brand, pricing, and merchandising guidelines
Reporting & Administration
- Maintain up-to-date customer records and sales data using computer systems and spreadsheets
- Track stock movement and coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth order processing and delivery
- Support collections and follow up on outstanding payments where applicable
- Provide market intelligence, customer feedback, and sales insights to management
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Sales target achievement
- Market coverage and new customer acquisition
- Product availability, visibility, and merchandising standards
- Customer retention and satisfaction
- Accuracy and timeliness of sales reporting
Qualifications & Experience
ApplicantsĀ mustĀ meet the following criteria:
- Minimum 5 years of proven sales experienceĀ in theĀ stationery and/or office furniture industry
- Grade 12 certificate with a minimum B grades, with minimum A grade in English Language
- Diploma or Bachelorās DegreeĀ in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field from a recognized institution
- Demonstrated ability to consistently achieve or exceed sales targets
- Experience working with distributors, wholesalers, corporate clients, and retail outlets
- Strong computer literacy with hands-on experience inĀ Microsoft Excel and other IT applications
