Job Overview

An established and fast-growing bakery is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accountant to oversee financial records, sales reconciliations, supplier payments, and cost control within a dynamic food production and retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Record, reconcile, and verify daily sales from cash, mobile money, and POS systems
  • Prepare accurate daily, weekly, and monthly financial and management reports
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, including supplier invoices and reconciliations
  • Monitor operational expenses and support cost control initiatives
  • Assist with stock costing, ingredient usage tracking, and wastage analysis
  • Prepare payroll inputs and staff-related financial records
  • Maintain organized filing of invoices, receipts, delivery notes, and financial documents
  • Conduct bank deposits and perform basic bank reconciliations
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and statutory requirements

Qualifications & Skills

  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum 2–3 years’ accounting experience (bakery, hospitality, or retail preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and financial controls
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Experience handling POS sales data and cash reconciliations
  • High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and meet reporting deadlines
