We are currently looking for the services of a Management Accountant to bring additional value to our already existing strong team.

JOB TITLE: MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT - 1 POSITION

PURPOSE: To manage management account reports, Debtors management, assist in budget preparation and the budgetary control process in accordance with the company’s financial regulations. The role will report to the Finance Director.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY:

1.Prepare and consolidate monthly, quarterly, and annual Branch Sales Reports

2. Monitor and report on cash flows and financial commitments

3.Supervise and provide technical guidance to assigned accounting staff.

4.Manage loanaccounting including interest accruals, repayments allocation, and loan book reconciliations.

5.Perform reconciliations between the loan management system, general ledger, branch accounts, and other control accounts.

6.Record income such as fees, penalties, and commissions, and monitor receivables and collections.

7.Maintain accounting records including journal entries, chart of accounts, accruals, prepayments, and fixed asset register.

8.Prepare monthly management accounts, branch performance reports, and financial statements.

9.Support budgeting, variance analysis, and financial performance monitoring across branches.

10.Ensure tax compliance including withholding tax and income tax returns.

11.Prepare regulatory reports and support external audits.

12.Monitor loan portfolio performance including Portfolio at Risk (PAR), impairments, and collection efficiency.

13.Provide financial analysis, dashboards, and reports to support management decision-making.

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS

1.Full professional accounting qualification: ZICA, CA Zambia, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.

2.Minimum of three (3) years' relevant post-qualification experience in management accounting, budgeting, or financial management.

3.Demonstrable proficiency in Microsoft Excel, relevant to management accounting and financial reporting.

4.Experience in the financial sector environment will be an added advantage.

 PROFESSIONAL MEMBERSHIP:

1.Must be a registered member of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA) in good standing.
