Position: Loan Officers – Chibombo and Solwezi

Liberty Credit is seeking highly motivated, disciplined, and results-driven Loan Officers to support the growth and management of our Group Loans and other loan products in Chibombo and Solwezi.

Role Overview

The Loan Officer will be responsible for client mobilization, credit assessment, loan disbursement, and collections, with a strong focus on portfolio quality, risk management, and customer relationships. The role requires a field-oriented individual capable of building sustainable group lending structures and maintaining high repayment performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Mobilize and recruit clients for group lending and other products
• Form and train borrower groups
• Conduct credit assessments and ensure proper client screening
• Ensure full KYC compliance and documentation accuracy
• Facilitate loan disbursement and client onboarding
• Drive 100% collection efficiency through regular group meetings and follow-ups
• Manage arrears and implement recovery strategies
• Maintain accurate records and ensure daily reconciliation of collections
• Identify and report fraud risks or irregularities
• Prepare and submit timely portfolio and performance reports

Key Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field
• Minimum 1–3 years’ experience in microfinance or group lending
• Strong understanding of credit processes and risk management
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• High level of integrity and accountability
• Ability to work independently in field-based environments
• Must be with Chibombo and surrounding areas
