Hotel Manager

HOTEL MANAGER

A private hotel in Kapiri Mposhi, Zambia, is looking for a dedicated and competent individual to join the team as Hotel Manager.

1.     JOB PURPOSE:

To directly report to the Director of the hotel as well as to manage the day-to-day operations of the hotel to meet specified standards, objectives, policies and vision of the hotel.

2.     DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

– Generate income for the hotel

– make annual budget as guideline to manage the hotel

– Ensuring exceptional guest experiences

– Develop a business plan and marketing strategies

– Training and development of hotel staff and guiding them to meet guest standard

– ensure quality standards for infrastructure and technical maintenance

– ensure all the hotel policies and laws of the country are monitored and adhered to, with Human resource and tourism guidelines.

– Overseeing daily operations of the hotel

3.     KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

– Full Grade 12 School Certificate.

– Diploma in Hospitality Management. Degree will be an added advantage

– Should be a member of a tourism and hospitality professional body

– Valid Driver’s license

– 2 -3 years’ work experience in a reputable institution

4.     COMPETENCIES

-Commitment to delivering exceptional guest experience and resolving issues promptly

– Strong organisation and multi-tasking skills

– ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays

-Able to withstand pressure
