We are therefore inviting applications to fill the below vacant positions for Kalumbila Site.

1.     TRAINERS – EXCAVATORS & HAUL TRUCKS X 2

This position reports to the Training Supervisor Successful candidate will be responsible for the below duties.

Responsibilities

•  Deliver hands-on and theoretical training on the operation of excavators and heavy-duty mining trucks (e.g. CAT, Komatsu, Hitachi, Liebherr).
• Develop and implement training materials, manuals, and SOPs.
• Conduct competency assessments for new and existing operators.
• Monitor and evaluate trainees’ performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Promote a culture of safety and compliance during equipment use.
• Liaise with the maintenance and operations teams to align training needs with operational demands

Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience

• Certificate/Diploma in Heavy Equipment Operation or related field.
•   Minimum of 5 years’ experience operating and/or training operators of mining equipment in a similar mining environment.
• Proven experience as a Trainer or Instructor in the mining sector.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and mining regulations in Zambia.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
•   Certification in training (e.g. Teaching Methodology or Train the Trainer) will be an added advantage.
•   Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

2.     TRAINING SUPERVISOR X 1

This position reports to the Production Manager/HR Manager. Successful candidate will be responsible for the below duties.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate training programs for excavator and haul truck operators.
• Conduct training needs analysis (TNA) and implement structured operator training plans.
• Lead a team of trainers to deliver effective theoretical and practical training.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and statutory regulations.
• Perform regular assessments and certifications of operators.
• Maintain accurate training records and reports.
• Promote a strong safety and performance culture across all operator training activities.
• Collaborate with the operations and maintenance teams to address skill gaps and training requirements.

Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience

•   Diploma or higher qualification in Mining, Engineering, Education, or related technical field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role within the mining industry.
• Strong knowledge of earthmoving equipment (CAT, Komatsu, Hitachi, Liebherr etc.).
• Proven experience training and supervising heavy equipment operators.
• Certification in Training & Development, Teaching Methodology or “Train the Trainer” is required.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Good understanding of mining safety regulations and statutory training compliance in Zambia
