We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our team and contribute to strategic infrastructure projects, including power plants, transmission facilities, and critical civil works. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing construction and maintenance of structures and infrastructure systems, ensuring compliance with engineering standards.

This position requires a strong technical background combined with project management expertise to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, quality, and budget, while meeting regulatory and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

o  Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and cost estimates.

o  Prepare detailed engineering designs and drawings using AutoCAD and other design tools.

o  Conduct feasibility studies, site investigations, and environmental impact assessments.

o  Ensure designs comply with engineering principles, building codes, and industry standards.

o  Supervise and manage civil works from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to specifications.

o  Oversee day-to-day site activities, monitor progress, and enforce safety protocols.

o  Validate technical drawings and approve structural designs for implementation.

o  Conduct quality inspections, audits, and acceptance testing.

o  Execute project implementation plans and track deliverables using Primavera or MS Project.

o  Manage procurement processes, tendering, and vendor coordination.

o  Monitor project KPIs, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.

o  Prepare and present detailed progress reports to stakeholders.

o  Manage project budgets and ensure cost efficiency.

o  Schedule material and equipment purchases and deliveries.

o  Document contractor and in-house meetings for accountability.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent accredited by the Institution of Civil Engineers
• Registered member of EIZ. Professional licensure is mandatory

Experience

• Minimum 5+ years in civil engineering roles, preferably in the energy or mining sector.
• Proven experience in planning, designing, and supervising infrastructure projects.
• Strong background in commissioning, installation, and civil work.
