JOB PURPOSE

*Maintain and repair our heavy equipment fleet

*Diagnose issues, perform repairs, and ensure equipment is in good working condition

Education / Experience

*Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in mining, drilling and construction sector.

*3 years of experience in heavy equipment repair

*Certificate or diploma in Heavy Equipment Repair or related field

*Strong mechanical skills and knowledge of heavy equipment systems

*Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

*Valid driver’s license, 

Job requirements / Skills

*Good communication skills.

*Diagnose and repair heavy equipment issues

*Perform routine maintenance and inspections

*Fabricate and repair equipment parts

*Collaborate with operators and management

*Maintain accurate records and reports

*Conduct PMs and breakdowns on worked on following Excavators: Hitach ZX 330LC-5G, Hitach ZX350LCH-7G, LIU GONG 923E-25ton.

*Mechanical works on following FEL-ZL50CN LIU GONG, CAT 966F & world groups 

Essential Key Performance Indicator -KPIs

The focus should be on 1. Safety Performance and 2. Health and Safety Training and Development, and from the two mentioned your KPIs are as follows:

1.    Safety Compliance: Achieve 100% compliance on safety whilst working

2.    Equipment Uptime: Achieve 95% equipment uptime

3.    Repair Time: Complete repairs within 24hours (adhering to company policy called 24 hrs Policy)

4.    Quality of Work: Achieve 95% quality rating

5.    Safety Incidents: Zero safety incidents

6.    Parts Management: Reduce parts inventory by 80%
