Accounts Receivable Accountant

Location: Kitwe, Zambia

Vital Beverages, a recognized producer of high-quality natural spring water products in Zambia, is committed to delivering excellence while meeting the changing demands of the market. We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified Accounts Receivable Accountant to join our finance and administration team based in Kitwe.

Position: Accounts Receivable Accountant

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and follow up on customer accounts to ensure timely collection of outstanding receivables
• Prepare and issue invoices, statements, and accounts receivable aging reports
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve billing or payment discrepancies
• Process receipts, allocate payments, and maintain accurate AR ledgers
• Prepare monthly AR reports and support internal and external audits
• Maintain up-to-date customer records in Sage Evolution 200
• Engage with customers professionally regarding payments, credit terms, and account queries
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company procedures

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• ZICA membership (or eligibility for membership)
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Accounts Receivable or general accounting
• Strong proficiency in Sage Evolution 200 is mandatory
• Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills
• High accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
