Chinese Translator

We are looking for a Chinese translatort to accurately translate and interpret Chinese and English to effective Communication in the organisation

Key Responsibilities

1. Responsible for Translating documents, contracts, manuals, reports, emails, and correspondence from Chinese to English and vice-versa while ensuring  translated content retains  it’s original meaning, tone, and context.

2. Proofread and edit translated materials for accuracy and grammar, maintaining confidentiality of all translated documents.

3. Responsible for real-time Chinese-English bilingual translation in the organisation, connecting Chinese management with Zambian local staff and local partners, ensuring smooth daily production and communication without information errors. 

4. Translate during phone calls and video conferences.

5. Resolve daily communication barriers between Chinese and local teams, ensure effective information transmission, adapt to the company’s production schedule, and follow work arrangements.

Job Requirements

1. Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English (speaking, reading, writing) - HSK 4/5/6 advantage

2. Excellent listening and note-taking skills 

3. High level of integrity and confidentiality

4. Responsible, patient, detail-oriented, obedient to management with good communication and teamwork skills, able to adapt to the organization's  working environment.

Main Purpose

To lead the mobile phone sales team, drive sales targets , manage stock and ensure excellent customer service and profitability of the mobile phone business. 

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Growth

· Develop annual business plans and Execute growth strategies aligned with company objectives.

· Identify new market opportunities and conduct market assessments.

· Expand operations into new districts and towns.

· Monitor local market trends and analyze competitor activities.

· Develop local marketing initiatives

· Achieve monthly and annual business targets.

2. Sales and Target Achievements

· Lead all sales operations.

· Set daily, weekly and monthly sales targets and monitor sales performance.

· Ensure achievement of sales targets and revenue goals

· Coordinate promotional campaigns.

· Improve customer acquisition efficiency.

3. Dealer Network Management

· Identify potential dealer partners and conduct dealer due diligence.

· Lead dealer recruitment activities and negotiate dealer partnerships.

· Manage dealer on-boarding and conduct dealer orientation sessions.

· Ensure dealer contract compliance and monitor dealer productivity and business growth.

· Recommend dealer suspension or termination where necessary.

4. Credit Operations

· Ensure compliance with credit policies. .

· Identify high-risk trends and support fraud investigations.

· Ensure proper customer verification and monitor KYC compliance.

5. Collections Coordination

· Coordinate collection activities and monitor overdue accounts.

· Review delinquency reports and improve repayment performance.

· Coordinate field collections.

· Ensure effective reminder processes and improve recovery rates.

· Monitor collection agency performance.

· Conduct weekly portfolio review meetings.

6. Compliance & Operational Risk

· Ensure compliance with company SOPs.

· Conduct operational audits.

· Monitor regulatory compliance  and ensure AML/KYC compliance.

· Report compliance issues and recommend corrective actions.

7. Inventory & Device Management

· Monitor smartphone inventor and ensure inventory accuracy.

· Ensure proper stock allocation.

· Coordinate with warehouse teams.

. Prevent stock loss, theft and damage by conducting regular stock counts

8 . Customer Service

. Handle customer complaints, returns and warrant issues professionally

. Build strong relationships with customers and endure customer satisfaction

. Stay updated with latest phone models, specifications and Market treads to advise customers.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in:

· Business Administration

· Finance

· Economics

· Marketing

· Operations Management

· Commerce

·  Any Related field

A Master's Degree is an added advantage.

Experience

· Minimum 5 years of experience in Device Financing, Consumer Finance, Asset Financing, Microfinance, Banking, or Digital Lending.

· Minimum 3 years should be on senior management

· Experience leading field sales teams.

· Experience managing dealer or agent networks.

· Experience managing financing portfolios.

· Proven experience improving operational performance.
